Hello and welcome to my website!
My name is Anthony Goff and I’m here to teach you all about personal finances. There are many times in life when we bump into a situation that requires financing. Most of the times, it’s a loan. It can also be all about buying a house, a car, a pricier good, something for which you need a sum of money that you, maybe don’t dispose of at the current moment.
What do you do?
I went through the same situation a few years ago when my lovely wife Kara got pregnant. We were living in a two bedroom apartment, quaint and romantic, which we loved. However, when we visited the doctor, we got the news that we were having twins. Yes, you read that right. Two girls, right off the bat. Therefore, we understood we needed to move into a bigger house, one that might be better located, with some schools nearby, perhaps.
Still, where do you get the money for that?
The main problem, and the relevant one for my back story here is that not only did we not know how to finance our current situation and make ends meet, but we didn’t even know how to start. Do we go to a bank? If so, what bank? Do we get a loan? What type of loan? Do we even qualify? What paperwork do we need? Is there something we need to fill out? How much interest are we going to have to pay? How many years will it take to pay it all back? What happens if we can’t make one payment one month? Are we going to lose the house?
In the end, we got through it, evidently. We bought a rustic house outside the city and our two girls have a cat and a dog in the back yard to play with every day, a swing set and a small pool. Everything is fine. Now.
But I couldn’t quite shake what we went through back then when we were asking ourselves all those questions. Therefore, I decided to start this website, Personal Finance Hub, where I could share my knowledge and experience with everyone who is interested in something similar.
This is the place where you will find straightforward articles that will teach you step-by-step what you need to do in case you want to apply for a student loan, a refinancing, debt consolidation, mortgage situation, a title loan, credit card, and everything in between.
The articles also contain helpful tools, such as online calculators, which will help you see exactly how much money you are entitled to get according to your income and other factors. You can also comment in the designated section, ask question and we will try to sort it all out together!
